LCA worked with Westminster City Council to create a commemorative street sign honouring the birthplace of Queen Elizabeth II.

Unveiled just days after what would have been Her Majesty’s 99th birthday, the new sign is a tribute to Britain’s longest-reigning monarch and mark the historic location, 17 Bruton Street, Mayfair.

The royal blue sign, created by LCA’s design team, incorporates lily of the valley, one of the Queen’s favourite flowers, which is also featured in her coronation bouquet. Designed with the Queen’s gold ERII cypher and delicate floral detailing, this tribute reflects both her grace and enduring legacy.

The unveiling ceremony, led by Westminster City Council, revealed five new signs, with three more set to appear once nearby building works conclude. Though the original 18th-century townhouse was demolished in 1937, this street sign ensures the memory of the Queen’s early days remains part of Mayfair’s streetscape.
