What do London’s new Green-led councils mean for the future of the built environment?

That was the focus of this morning’s LCA Breakfast Waffle, where we were delighted to welcome Cllr Eva Tabbasam, Co-Leader of Waltham Forest Council and Cabinet Member for Housing and Regeneration, in conversation with LCA Vice-Chair Jane Groom.

Cllr Tabbasam outlined the new Green administration’s priorities for the borough, before the discussion explored some of the biggest issues facing both Waltham Forest and the wider capital: delivering genuinely affordable homes, the importance of partnership working, strengthening climate resilience, and ensuring communities are meaningfully involved in shaping change.

With the Mayor of London’s draft London Plan also published today, the conversation could not have been more timely.
