Alastair Gornall

Alastair plays a pivotal role in shaping business strategy and planning, mentoring the senior team, and benchmarking performance within the industry. With deep-rooted expertise in media and PR, Alastair previously founded Scope Communications and Consolidated Communications Group, which earned PRWeek’s Agency of the Year title in 2001. He also served as CEO of Reed Exhibitions Ltd – owner of the renowned MIPIM property event. Over the last decade, he has chaired multiple high-profile companies, including Blue Rubicon, Hanover Communications, Hume Brophy, Penta Group, Seahorse Environmental, Dods Group plc, Longitude Research, Byfield Consultancy and Finn PR.
Beyond his corporate leadership, Alastair has held key roles in charitable organizations, including as Chairman of Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Vice Chairman of SSAFA – The Armed Forces Charity. Raised mainly in Africa, his early career included service as a British Army Lieutenant and work with BusinessWeek magazine in New York, adding to his rich and varied global perspective.
A passionate motorboater, Alastair spends many a spare day on the open water and previously went around Britain in his RIB (rigid inflatable boat). He is also a long serving Marshal/Safety boater for the UK International Powerboat Racing Series close to where he lives on the Isle of Wight.
