Declan Bennett
Director
Declan has been with the LCA team since February 2016, rising from Account Executive to Director. Throughout his tenure, he has supported a diverse client base, on projects ranging from placemaking and corporate briefs to major masterplans.
He is currently working with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) as it explores the future of the Allianz Stadium (formerly Twickenham Stadium) and with Simten as it considers its plans for the Twentieth Century House building in Soho, among others.
He has previously led on all of the City of London Corporation’s major projects, including the Consolidation of its three historic markets, Billingsgate, West Smithfield and New Spitalfields at Dagenham Dock, the Museum of London’s move to West Smithfield and the creation of a new justice quarter at Salisbury Square.
His work on major mastering projects has seen him advise on both British Land’s Canada Water Masterplan and Quintain’s redevelopment of Wembley Park.
Declan has previously served as a member of New London Architecture’s NexGen Sounding Board, which aims to encourage dynamic thinking around scenario planning for the future of London. In July 2017 Declan won the International Building Press (IBP) Young Communicator of the Year award and has gone on to speak at panel events alongside journalists covering issues relating to the built environment.
